Although not a writer, nothing ticks me off more than a story that doesn’t make sense through a series of progressive events. I’m not stupid, and when something is so forced and contrived and over worked in its description, I am never going to be able to finish reading it, nor would I be buying their books again. Does that make sense? I ticks me off being played like an idiot by a writer who uses too many words when it could be developed so much better.
Thank you for making it clear that as an reader, we are not so ignorant to figure out that sometimes a few words are so much more expressive than 100….:)

Your blog piece is soo right on point. I’ve read many books where the action/reaction/response are out of order. The writing will either make no sense or unfortunately create the wrong mental image. Either way, the reader gets pulled out of the story and that’s ALWAYS a bad thing.
